What is B. A. D. Reviews?

B. A. D. Reviews is a hub of critical content created by Brett Alan Dewing. Mainly focused on film reviews and film literacy, Dewing also occasionally covers literature, theatre, comics, music, and more. While all content is from an intellectual Christian perspective, this is not a content-based site meant to separate “safe” movies from “unsafe” movies. Instead, by modeling and detailing the specifics of film literacy, B. A. D. Reviews seeks to create viewers who can see the decisions and craftsmanship behind a film in order to examine what and how the filmmakers are communicating through their art. When the viewer can “see the man behind the curtain”, they are free to truly enjoy and evaluate the product at a higher level.
