Why I Didn't Like Pan's Labyrinth

Everyone I know has been raving about this film. So, conquering fears of the gore and violence (which didn't bother me after all), I trotted off to see it for $4.

Maybe it was the hype, but I was unimpressed. I think my apathy boils down to 3 points.
