I love a gothic ghost story. I never watched The Others because the trailers made it look much more like a horror film. Consequently, I have had the plot spoiled for me in the intervening 24 years. That's a shame. The filmmakers did a great job providing a selection of red herrings, and I wished I could engage in the speculation instead of just apprecia…
