The Farewell

Sometimes, on this blog, I can get a bit heady about the intellectual elements of a film.  As I get busier in other arenas, the films I choose to write about are often the ones that strike me with beauty, yes, but also with the opportunity for critical close-reading.  The Farewell is not that kind of film.
