I saw this back when it came out, and I had a feeling that it was a quality film, but it was the first movie I’d seen with nudity in it, and that ended up becoming my entire experience of the movie. Now, after seeing Julianne Moore’s body far too many times in the interim and having read the incredible Graham Greene novel, I undertook to watch it again.
