Although The Czech New Wave spanned only a very short time, it boasts an abundance of content, mostly put out by a group of friends who graduated FAMU (the national film school) together and shared similar ideas of how to push past the “Socialist Realism” that flooded their cinemas with formulaic films glorifying Soviet ideals.
