My first thought while watching director George Clooney's new film, Suburbicon, was that it was Clooney's attempt at making a Coen brothers movie.  But, lo and behold, it was written by Joel and Ethan Coen as well as George Clooney and Grant Heslov.  The question of why the Coens didn't direct it themselves led me to reimagine the work as if they had.  …
