When Sofia Coppola arrived on the scene, with The Virgin Suicides and the extraordinary Lost in Translation, she was an exciting new director with a unique style and a bright future.  The controversial (but I think wonderful) Marie Antoinette seemed to solidify that future.  Then she followed up those films with the likes of Somewhere and The Bling Ring…
