I have recently been reading Walter Wangerin, Jr. for the first time, specifically his collection of children's stories and poems and accompanying essays called Swallowing the Golden Stone.  It is phenomenal!  The follow excerpt especially strikes home for me, a writer, a namer, a believer in "Theatre of Being", where every word is an action....
