I was not a fan of the original Monsters Inc., so I was unexcited when a prequel was announced.  I didn't see it in first run and wasn't sure if I wanted to see it at all.  But after seeing some positive reviews, I decided to catch it at the second-run theatre.  After all, it is Pixar, whose track record is pretty darn good.
