Macbeth (2015)

My current pick for best film of the year, the new Macbeth is a triumph both visually and interpretively.  As someone very familiar with Shakespeare's text, I was elated to find myself constantly surprised.  The interpretation is endlessly inventive and at the same time completely true to the source material.
