The halls of geekdom are abuzz, resounding with hyperbolic promises of "a once in a generation sci-fi masterpiece" called Looper.  Some have gone as far as to label it the best sic-fi movie of all time.  With all that clamor, it's hard not to be skeptical, but it was with great hope that I went to see the film.
