La La Land

I went into La La Land with the highest of expectations.  Like, "this could be better than Fargo":  that's how high.  And I knew that would be a problem.  I remember watching Sucker Punch, after all.  Thankfully, for the sake of all mankind, La La Land is not Sucker Punch.  But what is it?
