Joyful Noise is a slight diversion in the tradition of Sister Act and Glee.  A scrappy gospel choir fights to win a national competition by radically changing their style.  It's a pity that part of that change means they no longer sing gospel songs but repurpose secular hits, as in Sister Act.  The film doesn't offer too much coherence of plot.  There's…
