When I first heard that Martin Scorsese was directing a film adaptation of Brian Selznik's book, The Invention of Hugo Cabret, it seemed like an odd pairing.  However, to anyone familiar with the book's plot, it should have come as no surprise.  Scrosese hasn't made a name for himself directing family friendly films, but his love of cinema is boundless …
