Incendies

Director Denis Villeneuve's star has been rising recently, with coveted jobs like Blade Runner 2049 and the Dune remake.  He was Oscar-nominated for his work on Arrival, but before all that, in 2010, his French-language (Quebecois) film, Incendies, was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film.

It is a beautiful, harrowing, and deeply satisfying film.  Af…
