In 2008, in an empty cinema outside Toronto at midnight, I saw the final showing of The Fountain for my area. My original review reads as follows:
“It was a visual translation of an Arvo Part symphony. It was calligraphic love letters between Judith Thompson and Stanley Kubric. It was Leonardo DaVinci set loose in time.”
