When I started to see Hell or High Water showing up in Oscar predictions, I was surprised.  The film wasn't released during "awards season" and seemed an out-of-left-field choice for consideration.  After its place was solidified by a nod for Best Picture, I knew I had to give this unlikely film a chance.
