What can I say about Gone With the Wind?  If you love it, you love it.  If you don't, you don't.  Beating out films like The Wizard of Oz for the 1939 Best Picture Oscar, it's the definition of a lush Technicolor melodrama.  Certainly, it has a palette and look all its own, and it has earned an enduring place in culture.
