You don't need me to tell you what this film is like. It's exactly like you expect it to be. Which is nice. It's dumb and fun and family-centric. I have reached the age where I don't know what amount of the fashion here is mockery and what is meant to be actually chic. It all looks ridiculous to me.
Plot: Lindsay Lohan (who has returned to pre-meltdown talent levels) is going to marry Manny Jacinto (yes, from The Good Place!). They each have a daughter (in the same class and mortal enemies, obviously) and a dead spouse. Though, Lohan's mother, Jamie Lee Curtis (with whom she switched bodies twenty years ago) mentions her "choosing to be a single mother," which makes no sense if she's a widow. The two teens switch bodies with Lohan and Curtis and try to stop the wedding but only bring everyone together as a happy family onstage during a pop-rock concert.
The two adult leads are clearly having fun, and it's fun to watch them have fun. It's wonderful to see Jacinto, but just wait until you see him dance! I enjoyed him and his character a lot! Also, if you're a fan of the first film, there are many cameos you'll enjoy.
Favorite joke of the movie:
Lohan: Sheesh, teenagers! I was one once.
Curtis: I was one twice.
