I have finally finished reading through the entire oeuvre of one of my favorite authors, Daniel Manus Pinkwater (save two books, which are unavailable), and here, at last, is my list in order of preference.  It's hard to compare so many disparate works: picture books, YA novels, essay collections, etc.  But here's my take, for what it's worth.
