Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close
From the trailers, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close looks like an exploitational Oscar-bait 9/11 message weepy. I had no intention of seeing the film until it scored a surprise 9th nomination for Best Picture on Tuesday. And so, as I did with Moneyball, I approached it with a sense of duty and little in the way of positive expectations.
