So, this is the Hang Movie, eh? I still am hesitant to cede genre status to these. There are artistic le ronde films like Slacker and absurdist-light anti-picaresques like Stranger Than Paradise. But this weak in-between tepid water of “hang movies” may simply be a convenient way to market an aimless vision.
