Cat People (1942)

You know, after a while I start to doubt that this film is as good as I remember. Certainly it's just an old genre flick, right? 

Then I rewatch it.

Yes, this could very easily have become a bad B-movie (like its unmentionable sequel), but in the hands of this group of artists...wow.
